Tyra Banks
Tyra Banks is an American model, actress, author, television personality, and businesswoman born in Inglewood California on December 4, 1973. She is known for being huge in the modeling industry, being the first African American woman to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated and GQ and was one of the world’s top paid models. Banks was a Victoria’s Secret angel from 1997 to 2005 and has also walked the runway for other companies like Fendi, Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior, Calvin Klein and many more. She has also been on the cover of magazines like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen, and Cosmopolitan as well as appearing in advertising campaigns for companies like Versace, Swatch, Pepsi, Nike, H&M, among others. She started her acting career in 1993 on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and has gone on to be in many movies and television such as, Coyote Ugly, Life-Size, Eight Crazy Nights, Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl and numerous others and well as creating her own show America’s Next Top Model. Throughout her career she has won several awards for her work in television, including two Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV: Personality, and two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative.
