Gayle King
Gayle King is an American television personality, author, and journalist born in Chevy Chase, Maryland on December 28, 1954. She is currently the chief anchor for CBS News and a co-host of CBS This Morning. She is also an editor for the magazine O, The Oprah Magazine. Kings career started as a production assistant at WJZ-TV in Baltimore. She went on to train to be a reporter for WUSA-TV in Washington D.C. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri and became an anchor and reporter at WDAF-TV. King started working as a news anchor at WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut in 1981 and stayed there for 18 years. During her time at WFSB she became an Emmy Award winning anchor. She has also worked on the shows The Oprah Winfrey Show, Cover to Cover, The Gayle King Show, and Good Morning America. In 1999 she became an editor at O,The Oprah Magazine. King started working with CBS News in 2011 as a co-anchor on CBS This Morning. In 2018 she was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.
