Needtobreathe

South Carolina based band Needtobreathe was the initial brainchild of brothers William and Nathaniel Rinehart, known by their stage names of Bear and Bo, respectively. They started their performances in local coffee shops, and eventually took on Seth Bolt and Joe Stillwell to solidify their lineup. Needtobreathe was signed to Lava Records through Universal Music Group in 2005. Their first studio album was later released in 2006, entitled Daylight, and was preceded by the release of the album single “You Are Here”. They would go on to release The Heat in 2007, which was nominated for Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year at the Dove Awards. They thus established themselves as an up and coming Southern/Christian Rock band that gained steady recognition.

Needtobreathe then released The Outsiders in 2009, The Reckoning in 2011, and Rivers in the Wasteland in 2014. Just after the release of their fourth studio album, drummer Joe Stillwell announced that he would be leaving the band, and they would continue as a trio.
