Matthew Vaughn
Matthew Vaughn was born in London, the United Kingdom on March 7, 1971. He produced Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998. He worked on the same capacity on the TV series based on it in 2000. He also served as the producer for Make My Day in 2003.
He directed Layer Cake in 2004 and won the UK Empire Awards for Best British Director. His 2007 directing project Stardust won the Best Dramatic Presentation – Long Form from Hugo Awards. In 2011, he won the Best Director from IGN Summer Movie Awards and UK’s SFX Awards for his work on X-Men: First Class.
He also worked on Kick-Ass (2010) as a director and as the producer of Kick-Ass: The Game and Kick-Ass 2. He is the director and producer for Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and the upcoming follow-up Kingsman 3.
