The Empty Pockets

The Empty Pockets is an indie folk band who could have stepped straight out of a Wes Anderson movie, so devoted to quirk are they. The line-up consists of frontman Josh Solomon (guitar, vocals), Erika Brett (vocals, keyboard), Nate Bellon (bass, vocals), and Danny Rosenthal (drums, vocals). The whole group came together during a theater production of the life of Buddy Holly, and after the show they took their act on the road originally as Josh and the Empty Pockets. They got a lucky break in landing manager David Spero.

Forming their own label “MT Pockets,” The Empty Pockets released the albums “Under the Bed,” “The Ten Cent Tour,” and “Voices” years 2008-2017. Being an act formed on the stage, they’re naturally a touring band, playing SXSW, headlined for the band Kansas, and most notably opened for Richie Furay of Buffalo Springfield fame, performing back-up duties at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This slice of Americana might never go out of style.
