Danny Amendola
Danny Amendola is an American football player born in The Woodlands, Texas on November 2, 1985. He is currently a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He played football in high school at The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas. He went on to play college football at Texas Tech for the Texas Tech Raiders football team from 2004 to 2007. In 2008 he was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, but was cut that same year and was re-signed to the practice squad. In 2009 he was signed to the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2009 he was signed to the St. Louis Rams and made his NFL debut in a regular season game in 2009. In 2013 he signed a five-year contract with the New England Patriots for $28.5 million with $10 million guaranteed. With the Patriots, he became a two-time Super Bowl champion. In 2018 he signed a two year contract with the Miami Dolphins but was released by the Dolphins in 2019. He signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Lions in 2019 for 4.5 million. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 485 receptions, 4,684 receiving yards, 20 receiving touchdowns, and 5,341 return yards.
