C.J. Mosley
C.J. Mosley is an American professional football player born in Mobile, Alabama on June 19, 1992. He is currently a linebacker for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Theodore High School in Theodore, Alabama. He went on to play college football at The University of Alabama from 2010 to 2013. In 2012 he earned Alabama’s MVP award. Mosley entered the NFL draft in 2014 and was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round, 17th overall. He signed a four-year contract with the Ravens for $8.87 million with a signing bonus of $4.71 million. He made his NFL debut in the Ravens’ season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. While with the Ravens he played in the Pro Bowl in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018. In 2019 he signed a five-year contract with the New York Jets for $85 million. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 579 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 9 interceptions, 35 pass deflections, 6 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, and 2 defensive touchdowns.
