Shari Belafonte

Shari Belafonte was born Shari Lynn Belafonte on September the 22nd 1954 in New York and is an American actress, singer, writer and model. Born into a performing family, she is the daughter of singer Harry Belafonte. With a career that began as a model, the actress made her film debut in 1982 with her appearance in the works, If You Could See What I Hear and Time Walker .

Better known for her long running television career, the actress joined the cast of the drama Hotel for five seasons before going on to portray Laura Wingate in Beyond Reality as Julie and appeared in five seasons before her starring role as Mayor Janice Lomax in the medical drama General Hospital.
