Mirel Wagner
Mirel Wagner was born on December 3, 1987 in Ethiopia and raised in Espoo, Finland. She is a singer and songwriter, performing and writing songs since 16. In 2011 she released her debut album which she self-titled Mirel Wagner. Despite her first album not being a commercial success, it did attract attention for Wagner and she had eyes on her when her second album was released in 2014. When the Cellar Children See the Light of Day was released in August and it topped the Finnish Album Chart, winning the 2014 Nordic Music Prize. She made a cover of The Ramones song I Wanna Be Sedated, which was used for the trailer of A Cure for Wellness (2017). Her singles include “No Death”, “Lean”, and “Oak Tree”.
