Chris Long
Chris Long is an American professional football player born in Santa Monica, California on March 28, 1985. He is currently a defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse in high school at St. Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2004 he started playing college football at the University of Virginia and played from 2004 to 2007. In 2007 he won the Hendricks award, an award given to the top defensive end in the nation. In 2008 he was chosen by the St. Louis Rams second overall in the 2008 NFL Draft and signed a six-year contract for $56.5 million with $29 million guaranteed. He played with the St. Louis Rams from 2008 to 2015 and in 2016 signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots for $2 million. With the Patriots he played in Super Bowl LI and had his first Super Bowl win that season, beating the Atlanta Falcons 34-28. In 2017 he signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles and that same year had his second super bowl win, defeating his former team the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Throughout his professional career he has had 332 total tackles, 70 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, and 6 fumble recoveries.
