Olivia Williams
Olivia Williams, born Olivia Haigh William on the 26th of July 1968 in Camden Town, London and is an English actress. Her training included studying drama at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, which she then followed up with three years at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Her very first television role came with Emma, in 1996, which also starred Kate Beckinsale and Samantha Morton. She then went on to work in The Postman, which became her film debut in 1997 and was also in The Sixth Sense.
Her breakthrough came in 2010 with Roman Polanski’s film The Ghost Writer, in which she plays Ruth Lang. With film roles in Anna Karenina as Countess Vronskaya and Mam Ward in Seventh Son, she has most recently played Jane Spenser in Victoria & Abdul, and can currently be seen in Counterpart, a television show in which she plays Emily Burton Silk.
