Black Grape
Black Grape is an English rock band formed in Salford, England in 1993. The band features former members of the bands Ruthless Rap Assassins and Happy Mondays. The current members of the band are Shaun Ryder and Kermit. The band was formed in 1993 by Shaun Ryder and Bez. They added the members Paul “Kermit” Leveridge, Carl “Psycho” McCarthy, Ged Lynch, Wags, and Oli “Dirty Cash” Dillon. In 1995 the band was signed to the label Radioactive Records and released their debut album It’s Great When You’re Straight…Yeah. The album reached number one on the UK album chart and was certified platinum in 1996. They have since released the albums Stupid Stupid Stupid that reached number 11 on the UK album charts and Pop Voodoo that reached number 15 on the UK album chart. In 1997 they released a documentary titled The Grape Tapes.
