Andrea Martin
Andrea Martin is an American actress, singer, comedian and author, born in Portland, Maine on January 15, 1947. She is best known for her roles in the television shows SCTV and Great News. Martin has had a massive career on the screen and in the theater. She has had roles in theater productions on and off Broadway like Fiddler on the Roof, Noises Off, Oklahoma!, Exit the King, Act One and a number of others. In 1971 she made her debut in film in the movie Foxy Lady and has continued landing roles in films like Black Christmas, Soup For One, Bogus, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, How to Eat Fried Worms and more. She landed her first role on a television show in 1971 on the show The Hart and Lorne Terrific Hour and has also had roles in shows like Second City Television, The Martin Short Show, Earthworm Jim, Damon, Hercules and others. She also travels around Canada and the United States performing her one-woman show Andrea Martin: Final Days, Everything Must Go. In 2014 she published her book Andrea Martin’s Lady Parts. Throughout her career she has been nominated for many different awards and has won two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, two Elliot Norton Awards among others.
