Black Marble
Black Marble, born Chris Stewart, is an electronic music producer and DJ that works in tandem with ex-Team Robespierre member Ty Kube. Based out of Brooklyn, New York, the duo released a five-song EP in 2012 called Weight Against the Door under the label Hardly Art. In the same year they released their debut album called A Different Arrangement. The album is influenced by early 80’s dark and synth wave musical styles and artists such as Ian Curtis and Joy Division. The duo then broke up and Chris moved to Los Angeles, California to continue Black Marble as a solo effort. In 2016 he released his solo debut entitled It’s Immaterial. The album was released on the label Ghostly International.
