Jetta

Jetta born Jetta John-Hartley was born in Liverpool, England. She got her start singing backup vocals for Cee-Lo Green and Paloma Faith. She works with producer Jim Elliot. She started singing in choirs and performing acoustically in local venues when she was younger. Her parents introduced her to the Liverpool music culture, which they were a part of. She was nominated for a GIT award in 2013 and was subsequently signed to Universal Republic records. She played at the SXSW festival in 2013. She recorded a video for her song ‘Start a Riot’ on her iPhone which got her the attention of several major labels. She was listed on Rolling Stone’s 10 ‘New artists you need to know’ and Huffington post’s “10 in SXWX acts  that will be even better than the mainstream counterparts”.  Her ‘Start a Riot’ video was featured on NME
