Julie Andrews
Julie Andrews was born Julia Elizabeth Wells on the 1st of October 1935 in Surry and is a British actress, author and singer. As a child actress and singer, Andrews appeared on West End and made her career in theatre up until 1964 when she made her feature film debut as the titular character in Disney’s Mary Poppins, a role for which she won an Academy Award. Then going on to portray Maria in The Sound of Music in 1965, she soon became a fixture in Hollywood.
Some of the actresses noted roles include the 1982 musical, Victor/Victoria where she portrayed the titular role, 2001’s comedy, The Princess Diaries and the sequel and she has lent her voice to hit animated films such as the Shrek franchise, the Despicable Me franchise, and the fantasy film, Enchanted.
