Kevin James
Kevin James was born on April 26, 1965 in Mineola, New York. He got his start doing stand-up comedy, eventually moving from small venues to guest-starring on the late night comedy circuit. His first television role was in 1991 for The New Candid Camera, a reality practical joke show. He guest-starred on Everybody Loves Raymond, resulting in a spinoff show The King of Queens, which ran from 1998 to 2007 and also starred Leah Remini. The role earned James a Primetime Emmy nomination.
He made his film debut in the 2005 film Hitch and later had roles in You Don’t Mess with the Zohan and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. He later starred in The Dilemma, a comedy-drama, before starring in a comedy action flick Here Comes the Boom. James stars in Kevin Can Wait, which began airing in 2016.
