Ed Harris
Edward Allen Harris was born on November 28, 1950 in Englewood, New Jersey. His acting career began on stage in plays such as Baalam (1975) and Tennessee Williams’ Kingdom of Earth (1976).
His first major role on the big screen was starring with Charles Bronson in Borderline (1980). He gained more fame in The Right Stuff (1983) playing astronaut John Glenn. Starring alongside Jim Carey in The Truman Show (1998), Harris was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe Award. He was once again nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of artist Jackson Pollack in biopic Pollack (2000); a movie he also directed.
Harris has appeared in many movies such as The Hours (2002), Appaloosa (2008) and Gravity (2013). He has also appeared in many films alongside wife Amy Madigan. He has recently starred in HBO series Westworld (2016) as the mysterious Man in Black.
