Rainn Wilson
Rainn Wilson is an American actor, comedian, writer, director, and producer born in Seattle, Washington on January 20, 1966. He is best known for his role as Dwight Schrute on the American version of the show The Office. After graduating from the University of Washington in 1986, he worked in a theater in New York City. In 1997 he made his debut on television in the show One Life to Live and continued landing roles in the shows Charmed, Dark Angel, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Mink, Six Feet Under, Numb3rs, The Office, Star Trek: Discovery, Room 104, Mom and others. He made his debut in film in 1999 in the movie Galaxy Quest and has since had roles in the films Almost Famous, Full Frontal, Sahara, The Last Mimzy, Juno, Peep World, The Boy, Army of One, Shimmer Lake, Cooties, Blackbird and more. Wilson also voiced a character in the video game Monsters vs. Aliens. In 2008 he co-founded the digital media company SoulPancake. He released his first book in 2010 titled Soulpancake and in 2016 released his second book The Bassoon King. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won three Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Derby Award, a Writers Guild of America Award and others.
