TeeFlii

Born Christian Jones on July 17, 1987, in South Central Los Angeles, California, the rapper TeeFlii learned how to play the organ, drums, piano, and guitar through the South Central church where his grandfather worked. He began singing at the age of 17, which led to his production of a variety of mixtapes. TeeFlii (pronounced tee-fly) released his full-length mixtape entitled Fireworks on July 4, 2013. The mixtape was a collaboration with DJ Mustard, whose fame is credited to songs such as “Rack City”. TeeFlii made an on-screen appearance in David LaChapelle’s dance documentary Rize in 2005, which chronicled the popular dance movements of Los Angeles at that time. Since then, he has been signed to Epic Records, all the while working with DJ Mustard.

TeeFlii’s debut single “This D” came out in 2013, and is said to be the song for which he is best known. He followed it up with the single “24 Hours”, which featured 2 Chainz. He later debuted his full-length album Starr later in 2014 under Epic Records. TeeFlii hopes that the work he has done and plans to do with DJ Mustard leads them to become a powerful duo like Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson.
