James Cromwell
James Cromwell is an American actor born in Los Angeles, California on January 27, 1940. He is known for his numerous roles in film and television. Cromwell received his acting training at HB Studio in New York City. He made his debut on television in 1974 in the show The Rockford Files and continued landing roles in the shows All in the Family, Hot I Baltimore, The Nancy Walker Show, Police Story, Alice, Barney Miller, The White Shadow, Father Murphy Dallas, Night Court, Hunter, Knight Rider, Easy Street, Mama’s Boy, China Beach, Home Improvement and others. In 1976 he made his debut in film in the movie Murder by Death and has since had roles in the films The Cheap Detective, Tank, The Man with Two Brains, A Fine Mess, The Last Precinct, Pink Cadillac, Romeo Is Bleeding, Babe, Owd Bob, The Bachelor, Deep Impact Blackball and more. He has also had roles in the stage productions Othello, Hamlet, Long Day’s Journey into Night, Waiting for Godot, and Rupert. Cromwell has around 200 acting credits to his name. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Canadian Screen Award.
