Steven Caple Jr.
Steven Caple Jr. was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 16, 1988. The film The Land won the deadCenter Film Festival Special Juri Prize in 2016. It bagged the Outstanding First Screenplay from the Black Reel Awards in 2017. It also received a nomination for Best of Next! from the Audience Award in the Sundance Film Festival.
He is the writer and director of the short Process of Elimination. He serves as the director for the TV series First Class, Grown-ish and the documentary Rapture. He also directed Creed II. He wrote the shorts The Land of Misfits (2014) and Prentice-N-Fury’s Ice Cream Adventure (2012). He is the producer of Drunk and Hot Girls (2013) and he serves as the associate producer for Hustle vs. Heartache.
