Jaromír Jágr

Jaromír Jágr is a Czech professional ice hockey player born in Kladno, Czechoslovakia on February 15 1972. He is currently a right-winger for HC Kladno in the 1st Czech Republic Hockey League. Jágr started skating at three years old and by 15 he was playing in the highest level of competition in Czechoslovakia for HC Kladno, At 17 years old he became the youngest member of the Czechoslovakia national team. He was drafted by the NFL in 1990. He has played for the NHL teams the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils and the Calgary Flames. Jágr is considered one of the best professional hockey players of all time and has the second-most points in NHL history. He has won five Art Ross Trophies, three Lester B. Pearson Awards, one Hart Memorial Trophies, and one Bill Masterton Memorial Trophies. Jágr is a two time Stanley Cup champion and a three time NHL Eastern Conference champion. In 1998 he won an Olympic gold medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan.
