Rafael dos Anjos
Rafael dos Anjos was born on October 26th, 1984 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He began his martial arts training at the age of nine, studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and competing in national competitions within Brazil. After accruing 11 wins and 2 losses, Rafael would make his UFC debut in 2008, losing to Jeremy Stephens by KO. He would earn a win in 2009 by defeating Rob Emerson at UFC 103, and went on to defeat Kyle Bradley, George Sotiropoulos, Kamal Shalorus, Evan Dunham, Donald Cerrone, and Nate Diaz from 2010 – 2014.
In 2015 Dos Anjos earned the UFC Lightweight Championship belt by defeating Anthony Pettis at UFC 185, and would later defend his title by defeating Donald Cerrone in one of the fastest TKO’s in UFC history. He has since moved to the welterweight category, defeating Tare Saffiedine and Neil Magny in 2017.
