Adam McKay
Adam McKay is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, comedian and actor born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 17, 1968. He was the head writer on the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live for two years and wrote for the show from 1995 to 2001. McKay initially auditioned for a role as a performer on Saturday Night Live in 1995, but didn’t get the job, the show did like his the sketch he submitted and brought him on as a writer. McKay also co-wrote a number of hit films with the actor Will Ferrell, including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, The Other Guys, and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Together they have a production company named Gary Sanchez Productions. They have also co-written a number of other films and television series and created the website Funny or Die. He has also been part of the films and television shows like The Boss, Vice, Ibiza, Eastbound & Down, Drunk History, Bad Judge, Succession, The Campaign, The Yes Men Are Revolting, Welcome to Me, Get Hard and many more. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won an Academy Award, a BAFTA Film Award, an Empire Award among others.
