Air Dubai

Hailing from Denver, Colorado, is the six-member hip hop group known as Air Dubai. Formed in 2008, Air Dubai consists of singers Julian Church and Jon Shockness, guitarist Lawrence Grivich, keyboardist Michael Ray, bassist Taylor Tait, and drummer Nick Spreigl. The two vocalists teamed up in the late 2000s with a vision of creating music, later taking on the instrumentalists instead of going with a more electronic feel. In late 2010, the group released their debut album titled Wonder Age, led by the singles “Restless Youth” and “Ten Weeks”. 2011 saw their partnership with producer Sylvia Massy, who had also worked with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Prince, and with her help released their album Day Escape. Songs from the album were subsequently featured on episodes of Jersey Shore and I Used To Be Fat on MTV. Air Dubai toured extensively, later signing a contract with Hopeless Records, and released their third album Be Calm in the summer of 2014.
