Alex Niggemann

DJ and producer Alex Niggeman was born in Dusseldorf, Germany, in 1984, and has made a name for himself not just as a disc jockey but as a successful producer and label owner. As a teenager, he learned how to play classical piano, but later became interested in rap music and the culture that corresponded to it. Then, when he was 16, he got his hands on some turn tables and began to create his own music in the comforts of his bedroom. Shortly after, he began DJing in some of the local clubs, and in 2006, he was signed to the label Get Physical. He released his first song under his own name in 2008, titled “Assign Me”, and that year he released a number of tracks that thrust him onto the Top 20 Charted Artists on Resident Advisor, taking hold of the #8 slot in 2009. Since he made his debut, he has been known to make many modifications in his style, which is known to have evolved greatly.
