Alex Rodriguez
Alex Rodriguez aka A-Rod was born in New York, New York on July 27, 1975. During his career, he was selected to be in 14 All-Star Games, and he bagged two Gold Gloves and three MVP awards.
He started his Major League Baseball debut with the Seattle Mariners when he was 18. He was No. 1 in the 1993 overall draft, and he debuted on 1994.
In 2001, he signed a 10-year deal with the Texas Rangers. The team had three consecutive wins in the American League, and he won the MVP award in 2003. The Rangers traded him to the New York Yankees in the 2003 season. In 2005, he won another MVP award. In 2009, he became instrumental in bringing the Yankees to the World Series championship.
A-Rod joined the Yankees in 2015. He announced his retirement in 2016.
