Alika
Alika is the stage name of the Uruguayan singer and songwriter Alicia Del Monte Campuzano. She was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on June 28, 1977. Alika has had a passion for music from a young age and in 1994 she co-founded one of the first female rap groups in Argentina and Latin America, actitud María Marta, with Malena D’Alessio. Together they released the album Corral the Beast in 1996. In 1999 Alika decided to go solo and started working on her first solo album, which she released in 2000 titled Do Not Let Them Stop You. She has continued releasing albums and mixtapes like Without Intermediaries, Reason to Mediation Action, Educate Yourself, Mad Professor Meets Alika, Alika Live Niceto Club, Unity and Respect Mixtape, Dub Yourself (Remixes) and My Word My Soul. She has a total of 6 studio albums and one live album. She has also collaborated with a number of artists and been on several compilation albums.
