Allison Weiss
Allison Weiss was born on April 13th, 1987 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, but was raised in Flowery Branch, Georgia. She is an indie pop singer and songwriter currently based out of Los Angeles. She began her musical career by playing local shows in Flowery Branch.
In 2007 Allison released her first EP called An Eight-Song Tribute to Feeling Bad and Feeling Better. She followed up the release with the EP Winter Mixtape and then a full live concert album called Live at Sidewalk NYC. In 2009 Allison turned to the newly launched crowdfunding website, Kickstarter, to fund her first full length album. The goal was met within 24 hours and tripled in a few days. The album Was Right All Along was released in 2009 with high praise and press from the New York Times and Wired Magazine. The successful Kickstarter campaign led to numerous tours and interviews until Allison’s second studio album Say What You Mean was released in 2013. The album was released on the label No Sleep Records.
In 2015 Allison signed to the label SideOneDummy Records. The release of her third studio album, New Love, followed in October of that year.
