Annette Bening
Annette Bening is an American actress born in Topeka, Kansas on May 29, 1958. She started acting in junior high and played the lead in her school’s production of The Sound of Music. Bening started her professional acting career in theater in 1980 performing in productions of Macbeth, Coastal Disturbances, Pygmalion, The Cherry Orchard and others. She made her debut in film in 1988 in the movie The Great Outdoors and has continued landing roles in films like The Grifters, Bugsy, Love Affair, Mars Attacks!, The Siege, American Beauty, Being Julia, Open Range, Mother and Child, The Face of Love, Captain Marvel, Rules Don’t Apply and more. In 1987 she made her debut on a television show in the series Miami Vice and has also had roles in the shows Wiseguy, Liberty’s Kids, The Sopranos, and Saturday Night Live. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a number of awards for her roles in theater, film, and television and has won two Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Dorian Award, a Satellite Award among others. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006.
