Basement Jaxx

Basement Jaxx is a London-born duo that is comprised of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe, and together they have carved out a place for themselves in the EDM genre. The duo formed in 1994 and gained local popularity with their appearances in various nightclubs around town. In 1999, Basement Jaxx released their debut album Remedy, whose track “Red Alert” was featured in Coca-Cola commercials as well as in the movie Bend it Like Beckham. Their single “Rendez-Vu” charted at #4 on the UK Singles Chart and became their highest charting track to date. They later followed this initial success with the second album Rooty, featuring the singles “Where’s Your Head At”, Do Your Thing”, and “Get Me Off”. Basement Jaxx’s third album Kish Kash won the Grammy Award shortly after is 2004 release for “Best Electronic/Dance Album”, and they would go on to release Crazy Itch Radio in 2006, the albums Scars and Zephyr in 2009, and Junto in 2014.
