Bernadette Peters
Bernadette Peters is an American actress, singer, and author born in Queens, New York on February 28, 1948. Her career has spanned over 50 years and she has starred in films, theater, and television shows and has released albums and performed concerts. She is best known for her roles on Broadway in musicals like Hello, Dolly, Mack and Mabel, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, Annie Get Your Gun, The Goodbye Girl, Gypsy, and Song and Dance. She made her professional stage debut in the production of This is Google in 1958. In 1969 she made her debut on television in The Kraft Music Hall and continued landing roles and appearing in shows like All’s Fair, The Muppet Show, Ally McBeal, Will & Grace, Grey’s Anatomy, Mozart in the Jungle, The Good Fight, Ugly Betty, and others. She has also had roles in films like Annie, The Jerk, Vigilante Force, Silent Movie, The Longest Yard, and more. In 1980 she released her debut album self titled Bernadette Peters and has since released a number of other albums. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a numerous awards and has won two Tony Awards, three Drama Desk Awards, a Golden Globe Award among others.
