Big Gipp
Rapper Big Gipp was born Cameron Gipp on April 28, 1973 in Atlanta, Georgia. Gipp is known for his slow, drawn-out rapping dialect as well as his political and street-life themed lyrics. Music fans first heard him rap on the song “Git Up, Git Out” from OutKast’s first album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. He is best known for being a member of the Goodie Mob along with Cee-Lo, T-Mo, and Khujo. The group released four albums before C-Lo abruptly left to pursue a solo career. On August 14, 2007, Gipp released the album Kinfolk, a collaboration with St. Lunatics rapper Ali.
Big Gipp was featured in Nelly’s hit song Grillz with Jermaine Dupri. He has also featured on songs by Three 6 Mafia ( “Whatcha Know”), Monica (“Street Symphony”) and Lil’ Jon (“Keep Yo Chillin’ Out The Street.”)
In 2013, Gipp reunited with Goodie Mob and the group released their first album in nine years, Age Against the Machine on August 27th of that year.
