Blind Melon
Blind Melon is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1990 by Brad Smith and Roger Stevens. The current members of the band are Roger Stevens, Christopher Thorn, Glen Graham, and Travis Warren. In 1991 they released a four song demo titled The Good Workshop. They went on tour that year supporting Soundgarden. The group was signed to Capitol records by Tim Devine in 1992. That year they recorded an unreleased EP titled The Slippin’ Time Sessions. They released their debut album in September of 1992 self-titled Blind Melon with Capitol records that reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. One of the singles on the album, “No Rain” reached number 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock music chart. They have since released the albums Soup and For My Friends. The group has also released three compilation albums and one live album. Their music has been featured in films like Slackers, You, Me and Dupree, and Never Been Kissed.
