Brooks & Dunn
Brooks & Dunn is an American country music duo formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1991 by Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. Both artists are singers, musicians, and songwriters. Before forming the duo both members were solo artists. After forming Brooks & Dunn the duo was signed to the label Arista Nashville.The duo has released eleven studio albums with the label and over 50 singles, 20 of them reaching number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Their highest selling album is their debut album released in 1991 titled Brand New Man. The album is certified sextuple-platinum and has sold over 6 million copies. They have also released the studio albums Hard Workin’ Man, Waitin’ on Sundown, Borderline, If You See Her, Tight Rope, Steers & Stripes, Red Dirt Road and more. The duo’s sound contains elements of honkey-tonk, mainstream country, and rock. In August of 2009 they announced their retirement and played their final concert together on September 2, 2010. They both continued to record solo albums for Arista Nashville. In 2015 they reunited for several concerts with Reba McEntire in Las Vegas, Nevada. The duo was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019. Throughout their time together they have been nominated for numerous awards and have won 2 Grammy Awards, 17 Country Music Association Awards, 26 Academy of Country Music Awards and many more.
