Cassie Ventura
Cassie Ventura is an American singer, actress, dancer and model born in New London, Connecticut on August 26, 1986. At the age of 14 she started modeling and at 16 she was modeling for local department stores. In 2004 while in New York she was signed with the modeling agency Wilhelmina Models.That same year she met the record producer Ryan Leslie and started her music career. She was signed to the label NextSelection Lifestyle Group and in 2005 released her debut single “Kiss Me.” The song became an instant success and caught the attention of Diddy who partnered with her to create her debut album. In 2006 she released her debut album through Atlantic Records and Bad Boy that reached number four on the Billboard 200 chart and in the top forty on the UK Albums Chart. She made her film debut in 2008 in the movie Step Up 2: The Streets and continued landing roles in films like The Perfect Match, Honey 3: Dare to Dance, and Wonderland. In 2018 she landed her debut role on television in the show Empire where she played the role of Haven Quinn for 2 episodes. Throughout her career she has been nominated for several awards and has won a Toyota Bold Award, an MVPA Award, and an ASCAP Pop Music Award.
