Chali 2na
Hip hop artist Chali 2na was born Charles Stewart in Chicago, Illinois, on June 26, 1971. In his youth, he was affiliated with the rap group The Unity Committee, and later teamed up with fellow rappers and MCs to form Jurassic 5, which he performed with until their split in 2007. As a solo artist, Chali 2na released the mixtape Fish Market in 2004, followed by Fish Outta Water, which was led by the single “Don’t Stop” in 2006 featuring Anthony Hamilton. The album would then be officially released in 2009, and would feature vocals from artists such as Talib Kweli, Damian Marley, and Raphael Saadiq, among others. Chali 2na released the mixtape Fish Market Part 2 in 2010, and appeared in the documentary This Is the Life about The Good Life Cafe in Los Angeles, where music movements began.
