Chiwetel Ejiofor
Chiwetel Umeadi Ejiofor was born July 10, 1977 in Forest Gate, London, England. Chiwetel is an acclaimed actor, film actor, television actor, and theater actor who has played in roles such as Othello, American Gangster, Inside Man, Serenity, Salt, and 12 Years a Slave for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and an Academy Award nomination for best actor and received the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in 2014. He was acting on stage before landing his first part in the Steven Spielberg’s film Amistad in 1997 and his TV debut in the thriller Deadly Voyage then several more after that. Chiwetel has received several awards and nominations, such as BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award in 2006, five Golden Globe Award nominations in 2008, Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for his role in Othello in 2008, as well as being presented with an OBE from Queen Elizabeth II for services to the arts in 2008.
