Chris Cooper
Christopher Cooper was born on July 9, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri. His film career started with his role in the 1987 film Matewan. This performance landed him roles in several television series including: Lonesome Dove (1989), Thousand Pieces of Gold (1991), and Bed of Lies (1992). His career then grew with his performance in The Patriot (2000), which earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award and a BAFTA Award nomination. He later won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe Award in 2003 for his role in Adaptation (2002).
Cooper has also starred in notable films like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), Live by Night (2016), The Company Men (2010) and Jarhead (2005). Some of his films have made it around the independent film circuit and received high praise from critics. He also received another Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for his role in the 2003 film Seabiscuit.
