Chris Webber
Chris Webber is an American former professional basketball player born in Detroit, Michigan on March 1, 1973. He is a five-time NBA All Star and a five-time All-NBA Team Member. He played basketball in high school at Detroit Country Day School and with the team went to three MHSAA State Championships. In 1990 and 1991 he was named the National High School player of the year and Michigan’s Mr. Basketball. He went on the play college basketball at the University of Michigan for the Michigan Wolverines. In 1993 he was selected by the Orlando Magic as the first pick in the 1993 NBA Draft. He was immediately traded to the Golden State Warriors that same year. At the end of his first season he was awarded the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. In his second year he was traded to the Washington Bullets and spent three years with the team. In 1998 he was traded to the Sacramento Kings and played with the team until 2005. He was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2005 and was with the team until 2007. In 2007 he signed with the Detroit Pistons and played with them for the season. The next season he signed with the Golden State Warriors for the 2008 season. On March 25, 2008 he officially retired from professional basketball. Throughout his professional career he recorded 17,182 points, 8,124 rebounds, and 3,526 rebounds.
