New York born Claire Danes began taking modern dance and acting classes at age six. Her big breakthrough came in 1994 when she landed the part of Angela Chase on the television series, My So Called Life. She won a Golden Globe award for ‘Best Actress’ for her part in the series. That same year, she played in the film adaption of Little Women, alongside Kirsten Dunst, Christian Bale, and Winona Ryder. Claire has also played parts in the film adaptation of Romeo & Juliet (1996), Les Miserables (1998), and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003).

In 2012 and 2013 she won Emmys for ‘Outstanding Actress In A Drama Series’ for her work in the television series, Homeland. For work on the show she also won Golden Globe Awards in 2013 and 2014 for ‘Best Performance By An Actress In A Television Series.”
