Clams Casino is the stage name of producer Mike Volpe, who was born on May 12, 1987, and originates from Nutley, New Jersey. Clams Casino released his debut EP in 2011, titled Rainforest, which he followed that year with his second EP titled Bayside and the mixtape Instrumentals. The producer had already been known on the hip-hop scene for the work he had produced alongside Lil B and Soulja Boy, but he garnered more praise for his original releases. Clams Casino put out Instrumentals 2 in 2012 and later Instrumentals 3 in 2012. Among his more popular remixes are Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die” from 2011 and Florence and the Machine’s “Never Let Me Go” from 2012. Clams Casino is credited with having produced tracks for The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Mac Miller, and others.
