Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese soccer player born in Funchal, Portugal on February 5, 1985. He spent his childhood playing soccer and by the time he was 12 years old he was one of the best soccer players in his area. He is known as one of the best forwards of all time and has scored the most official goals. In 2003 he was signed with Manchester United and became an instant sensation. Ronaldo received his first FIFA World Player of the year in 2007-08 while with the team. Throughout his career he has won 26 trophies, including five league titles and five UEFA European Championships and has played for the teams Manchester United, Real Madrid, and the Juventus. He is also involved in philanthropy and was named the world’s most charitable person in sports in 2015 when he donated 5 million pounds to the relief effort in Nepal after the earthquake. He has also been the ambassador for Save the Children and The Mangrove Care Forum. Ronaldo is the most followed person on social media with over 158 million followers between Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
