Dana Fuchs
Dana Fuchs is an American singer and songwriter born in New Jersey on January 10, 1976. As a teenager she performed in a guitar group. In 1998 she started focusing more on creating music and would perform in blues clubs. She formed the group Dana Fuchs Band with Jon Diamond and released the album Lonely for a Lifetime. She has since released the albums Love to Beg, Bliss Avenue, Songs from the Road, Broken Down Acoustic Sessions, and Love Lives On. From 2001 to 2003 she played the role of Janis Joplin in the Off-Broadway musical Love, Janis and also played the singer in the 2007 film Across the Universe. In 2015 she started her own label called Get Along Records. She is also an ambassador for the JED Foundation, the foundation aims to prevent suicide by helping people with their mental health.
