Daniel O’Donnell

Daniel O’Donnell is an Irish singer and television presenter born in Kincasslagh, Ireland on December 12, 1961. While in college he joined his sister Margo’s band, The Keynotes. In 1983 he decided to go solo and released his first single, a cover of Johnny McCauley’s song “My Donegal Shore.” He released his debut studio album in 1984 titled The Boy from Donegal Shore. He has since released numerous albums, including Two Sides Of, I Need You, The Last Waltz, Favourites, Follow Your Dream, A Date with Daniel Live, Christmas With Daniel, I Believe, Love Songs, Heartbreakers, Songs of Faith, Welcome to My World, Teenage Dreams, Memories, Moon Over Ireland and many more. In the mid 90s he became a household name across Ireland and Great Britain and appeared on a number of popular television shows. In 2012 he became the first artist to have a different album on the British charts every year for straight 25 years. Throughout his career he has been nominated for many awards and has won four RTE Guide Favourite Artist of the Year, two British Country Music Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Irish Post, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Sunday World and more.
