Danko Jones
Danko Jones is a Canadian rock trio formed in Toronto, Canada in 1996. The current members of the group are Danko Jones on vocals and guitar, John Calabrese on bass guitar, and Rich Knox on drums. After forming in 1996 they toured for two years around Canada and the northeastern United States. They opened for bands like The Make-Up, The Dirtbombs, Nashville Pussy, The New Bomb Turks and others. In 1998 they released their debut EP titled Sonic Unyon and followed it up the next year with their second EP My Love is Bold. The band was nominated for a Juno Award for Best Alternative Album in 2000. In 2002 they released their debut studio album titled Born a Lion with the labels Bad Taste Records and Universal. They have since released the albums We Sweat Blood, Sleep Is the Enemy, Never Too Loud, Below the Belt, Rock and Roll Is Black and Blue, Fire Music, Wild Cat, and Rock Supreme. The band has released 9 studio albums, 3 EPs, and 4 compilation albums.
