Dash Berlin

The trance music project Dash Berlin was created in 2007 by Jeffrey Sutorius, Eelke Kalberg, and Sebastiaan Molijn in The Hague, Netherlands. The group formed when they decided to team up together after several years producing electronic dance music as solo artists. Members of the group had found success with the song “Better Off Alone,” which was one of the first mainstream trance songs in the United States. Other members have remixed songs for Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Usher, and Lenny Kravitz.

Dash Berlin’s breakthrough came with the single “Till the Sky Falls Down” in 2007 because it was featured on the third chapter of Armin van Buuren’s “Universal Religion” mix album. Van Buuren then signed them to his label, Armada Music. They’ve released three albums and fifteen singles between 2009 and 2014. In 2009, they were nominated for four International Dance Music Awards and won the award for Best High Energy Track for their single “Waiting.” The music video for “Waiting” also received over 25 million views on Youtube. They were nominated for Best European DJ at the 2010 International Dance Music Awards and in 2012, were nominated for Best Trance Track for “Better Half of Me.” That same song peaked at number sixteen on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. Later in 2012, they were nominated for a Tunisian Music Award and headlined the Sunset Music Festival in Sri Lanka. They headlined the Ultra Music Festivals in Chile and Argentina in February 2013. They were nominated again for Best Trance Tack at the 2013 International Dance Music Awards for their song, “When You Were Around” featuring Kate Walsh. Their 2014 album, “We Are: Part 1,” peaked at number six on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and number five on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
