David Garrett
David Garrett is a violin prodigy since age four, when his father bought him his first guitar. he studied music at Lübeck Conservatoire in Germany, and gave his first performance at the Festival Kissinger Sommer at age nine. Traveling to the Royal College of Music in London, England, he then skipped over to the States to study at the renowned Juilliard School of Music, as one of the first students of Itzhak Perlman.
Garrett works regularly within orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra 2008 US tour. By 2008 he released his first self-titled album, and has released eleven more, including “Rock Symphonies” (2010), which mind-blowingly covers hits by Aerosmith, led Zeppelin, and Nirvana on violin with orchestral backing.
