Day Wave
Day Wave is an American indie rock musician from Oakland, California. Starting in 2015, singer and songwriter Jackson Phillips adopted the moniker to experiment with 80’s influenced guitar and bass synth-pop. Jackson uses additional musicians for live performances, but produces all the studio music himself.
In 2015 Day Wave released his debut EP entitled Headcase. The EP received significant coverage through Billboard Magazine and the Los Angeles Times. In 2016 Day Wave went on tour and opened up for Blonde Redhead. In the same year Day Wave signed to the label Harvest Records. He then released the single “Wasting Time.” Day Wave’s song “Hard to Read” was added to the soundtrack for the video game Watch Dogs 2. In 2017 he released his debut album called The Days We Had.
